“This recognition is a huge honor for a company positioned at the intersection of AI, data, and regulatory challenges. Thank you for your trust in us!”
“We are very grateful for the feedback and support provided for our next financing stages.”
Launched as part of the MedVallée initiative, Boost Invest MedVallée targets global healthcare startups in the territory with high growth potential, which, after a successful launch phase, have reached a sufficiently advanced stage of maturity to pursue a second round of fundraising.
The program leverage a committee of experts with complementary backgrounds — high-level scientists, researchers, renowned professors, members of the Academy of Sciences, and seasoned professionals in financing and business development — who evaluate and select candidate companies.
Being selected by this committee represents recognition of the project’s quality, strategic vision, and ability to address major health challenges.
First selection for the 2026 Cohort, focused on strategic public health challenges
With Conecsio and Doctreen, this new selection illustrates the diversity and maturity of the projects fostered by the Montpellier ecosystem, at the intersection of health data, technological innovation, and environmental and regulatory challenges.
As with previous cohorts, the selected companies will benefit from:
- Strategic support to accelerate their fundraising efforts
- Increased visibility and credibility among investors
- Privileged access to trade shows and investor events
- Promotional opportunities through the City of Montpellier and Montpellier Métropole’s media channels, as well as a dedicated communications kit
First laureates of the 2026 Cohort selection
1. Conecsio
Founded in 2023 and based near Montpellier, Conecsio is a French healthtech group at the forefront of leveraging health data for research. It combines three complementary platforms:
- Dataloom, a European health data marketplace, connects data producers and consumers within a regulated and trusted framework, facilitating access to secondary data for clinical research.
- ScreenAct accelerates patient recruitment for clinical trials by automatically identifying trials suited to each profile, covering over 10,000 trials across 10 countries.
- Edop manages patient informed consent digitally, improving retention, reducing regulatory risk, and providing a real-time view of the patient journey.
Together, these three components form the first integrated hub that links data, consent, and clinical trials, designed for pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and healthcare institutions that leverage data to advance health research.
Conecsio is one of Montpellier BIC's rising stars.
2. Doctreen
Another high-potential BIC project, Doctreen, founded in October 2024, develops solutions in the market for digital health and artificial intelligence applied to the medical sector.
The company is developing a hybrid AI technology that combines generative artificial intelligence and medical decision trees, in order to help healthcare professionals produce structured medical documents, secure clinical reasoning, and leverage health data.
Its first target vertical market is radiology, where the company offers innovative solutions to help with report writing and diagnostic assistance. Faced with a rapidly changing market, Doctreen leverages its business expertise, proprietary technological assets, and plans for multi-specialty deployment to establish itself as a leading player in European HealthTech.
With these two new winners, Boost Invest MedVallée reaffirms its role as a strategic accelerator for innovative companies in the field of One Health, highlighting once again the dynamism and attractiveness of the Montpellier ecosystem, which is capable of producing projects with significant economic, health, and environmental impact.
