Cambacérès, where innovation and transition are shaping the future

Located on the southern side of Montpellier, Cambacérès is emerging as a connected and sustainable business district, developed to combine innovation, mobility, and quality of life. This ambitious project, spearheaded by Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, addresses new economic, societal, and environmental challenges by creating a space where businesses, talent, and residents can interact.
Ultimately, the 300,000 m² Cambacérès service sector campus will welcome 15,000 employees and 5,000 students.

A strategic and well-connected district

Cambacérès enjoys exceptional accessibility:

  • Montpellier Sud de France TGV high-speed train station, providing access to Paris and Barcelona in just three hours
  • Direct access to the A9 motorway via the A709 bypass
  • Montpellier Méditerranée Airport, 10 minutes from downtown by car, making Paris, London, and Barcelona just an hour away
  • Extension of tramway line 1 inaugurated in October 2025, connecting the historic center in 15 minutes
  • Bus-tram line 2 and bike paths for soft mobility, putting the Mediterranean within 20 minutes by bike
=> Public transportation is free for all residents of the Montpellier metropolitan area!

These connections are making Cambacérès a multimodal hub at the gateway to Europe, ideally located between the sea and the mountains.
