Not only does the Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole area have infrastructure capable of welcoming up to 14,000 people, it also offers many other advantages. The first of these is its location and accessibility.
- Strategic position: located at the crossroads of Europe, the area is accessible via the A9 motorway and the Mediterranean Sea, facilitating travel to Spain and other destinations.
- Efficient rail service: two TGV-TER train stations (one of which is located right in downtown Montpellier), with a high-speed rail project connecting Montpellier to Perpignan planned for completion by 2034.
- A dynamic airport: just 12 minutes from Montpellier, the airport is connected to downtown by shuttles running every 10 minutes. The airport serves nearly 40 destinations, including 13 new ones starting in 2026
- A comprehensive public transportation and sustainable mobility network: 5 recently created and optimized tramway lines: Line L1 to the Sud de France train station, Bus-Tram Line A, and Line L5.
- Expansion of bike routes (EV8, EV17, Canal des 2 Mers), cycling paths (157 km completed), and a planned express bike network.
